"Al-Mithan" (المِذّن) displays prayer times in the State of Qatar according to the official annual calendar published on the Qatar Ministry of Awqaf website.

The app relies on an official annual file extracted from the ministry publication, with technical fallback handling only when a specific day is missing from the extracted data.

• Display five daily prayer times and sunrise
• Qibla direction compass
• Nearby mosques map
• Adhkar (supplications) and Tasbih counter
• Prayer time notifications

📊 Data Collection

Al-Mithan app does not collect any personal data about you. We believe your privacy is a fundamental right.

• We don't collect names or email addresses
• We don't collect phone numbers
• We don't collect payment information
• We don't collect any personally identifiable information
• We don't collect usage data or analytics

📍 Location Data

Location access is completely optional. Prayer times work without location permission (defaulting to Doha).

If you grant location access, it is used only for:

• Determining the Qibla direction accurately via compass
• Showing nearby mosques on the map

⚠️ Important: Your location data stays on your device only and is never sent, stored, or shared with any third party. You can deny location permission and the app will work fully.

🌐 Third-Party Services

The app uses the following services to fetch prayer time data only:

• Qatar Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs: Primary official source for prayer times
• Technical/local fallback: Used only when a specific day is unavailable in the extracted annual file

No personal data or location data is sent to these services.

We do not share any data with third parties:

• We don't sell your data
• We don't share your location with advertising companies
• We don't use tracking or analytics tools that collect personal data
• The app contains no advertisements

⚙️ Required Permissions

The app requests the following permissions to provide its services:

• Location (optional): For Qibla direction and nearby mosques map only
• Notifications (optional): To alert you about prayer times and Adhan

All permissions are optional. You can revoke them at any time from your device settings and the app will continue to work fully.

💾 Data Storage

All your settings and preferences (such as preferred Adhan sound, display mode) are stored locally on your device only. There is no user account or login required.

Our app is safe for use by all ages. We do not collect any data from children or adults.
